Challenge Racing - Factory ABA BMX Team #4

Team manager Pete Heil formed Challenge Racing 20 years ago, which was made up of a few local kids from the local track.  Over the years, the team was built into one of the top Bicycle Shop teams in the country.  With the  success of the team, riders from around the country requested the opportunity to ride for Challenge Racing.  Pete has kept the team together with local riders and strong family support system within the team.  He has also insured that the kids best interest came first, encouraging them to participate in other activities, but making sure grades and good sportsmanship were a priority.  The decision to compete at a factory level was made in 2000. In moving to the factory level, a few adjustments were needed if Challenge Racing was going to compete.  Pete wanted to be sure the team would be competitive and the riders would continue to be proud members of Challenge Racing.  With this in mind, Challenge Racing sought out to find sponsors which would allow them to compete at the factory level.  Now in it's sixth year as a factory team, the team is consistently in the top percentage of the factory division.
